Ordeal Packing List
You will need to bring the following items with you to your Ordeal weekend.
All of these items are important and will NOT be provided for you at your Ordeal, so it is of the utmost importance that
you do not forget any item.
• Complete Scout Uniform (to be worn on arrival Friday evening)
• Tent for Saturday night (consult with your Troop if you do not own one. Scouts must
provide individual tent arrangements.
• Sleeping bag
• Ground cloth
• Poncho or rain gear
• Work clothes, including long sleeve shirt, tee shirt, long pants, sock and shoes/boots
• Work gloves
• Warm clothing, in case of inclement weather
• Personal Hygiene Items, shower soap, shampoo and towel
• Spirit of the Arrow Booklet 1 (included in this packet)
• Optional money for the trading post on Sunday
For Scout candidates under the age of 18, you will not be allowed to carry (1) cell phones, (2)
car keys, or (3) watches, during the Ordeal. The Medical Officer will collect these items on Friday evening, along with any medications you may require during the weekend.
This is to ensure they are not lost during the Ordeal and avoid disrupting the activities.
***Rescue inhalers should be kept by each person for use as needed. Just let us know if you have them.
***If you have special dietary restrictions, please indicate these restrictions clearly at registration
